Whistler - where more than half of the 2010 Winter Games medals will be won and awarded - is ready to give the thousands of visitors, athletes and officials an unforgettable winter experience for 27 days in 2010. During the Games, Whistler Village’s pedestrian stroll, already lined with shops, restaurants, cafes and pubs, will be dotted with free Live Sites, where thousands of people will gather each day and evening to watch the Games unfold on interactive outdoor screens, and to take in free entertainment including bands, performing artists, and theatre. Medal presentations will be held at Celebration Plaza every evening so guests can celebrate with each day’s Olympic and Paralympic champions.

Transportation
To Whistler:
There are a variety of ways to get to Whistler including car, train and airport transfer. Once you arrive, a free shuttle is available from the hotels and condos to the lifts. To explore the various neighbourhoods outside of the Village, Whistler’s public transit system makes regular stops.
To Richmond:
Travel to Richmond from Whistler by car takes approximately 2.5 hours. Bus service to downtown Richmond is available with a coach journey from Whistler to Vancouver and a transfer to public transit in Vancouver . Passengers wishing to go to Vancouver International Airport from Whistler have a choice of direct coach services .
To Vancouver:
Driving time from Whistler to Vancouver is approximately two hours. Greyhound Bus offers multiple daily trips between Whistler and Vancouver.
To West Vancouver:
The drive from Whistler to West Vancouver takes approximately 75 minutes. Greyhound buses service West Vancouver along their Vancouver route.
Accommodation
Whistler offers a myriad of accommodation options including luxury hotels, lodges, chalets, condominiums and bed and breakfasts.
